SMS Consent and Opt-In Disclosure


CONSENT IS OPTIONAL. SMS opt-in is not required to receive piano tuning, repair, moving, or any other service from Broadway Piano Rescue. Customers may book and receive full service through phone, email, or our website without ever opting in to text messages. This page documents our SMS program for customers who choose to opt in.


Broadway Piano Rescue (1216 Broadway, New York, NY 10001) operates an optional SMS messaging program for customer service communications.

What Messages We Send:

- Service reminders (typically every 6 months for tuning customers)

How Customers Opt In:


Method 1 — Website Form Opt-In (Optional Checkbox)
Customers submit a service request at https://genie.broadwaypianorescue.com which includes an OPTIONAL SMS consent checkbox. The checkbox is unchecked by default. The form submits successfully whether or not the box is checked. The checkbox label reads:


"Optional: Send me text messages from Broadway Piano Rescue. I understand SMS is optional and not required for service. If I check this box, I consent to receive text messages from Broadway Piano Rescue — appointment confirmations, service reminders, follow-ups, and review requests. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. I have reviewed the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service."


Links to our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service appear directly beside the checkbox. Customers who do not opt in receive their appointment confirmations and reminders via phone or email instead, with no impact on their service.


Method 2 — Verbal Opt-In During Booking (Optional)
When customers call our business number (917-719-0162) to schedule, after the appointment is confirmed, our staff or our scheduling assistant may ask: "Would you like to receive optional text confirmations and reminders at this number? It's totally up to you." Customers who say yes have their consent recorded with a timestamp in our CRM. Customers who say no, or who do not respond, receive their appointment confirmation by phone or email instead. Saying no to SMS does not affect booking, scheduling, pricing, or service quality in any way.


Method 3 — Existing Client Reminders (Opt-In Required)
Returning customers who previously opted in via Method 1 or Method 2 receive periodic service reminders approximately every 6 months from their last service date. These customers may opt out at any time by replying STOP. Customers who never opted in do not receive these reminders.


Disclosures:

- Message frequency varies, typically 2–6 messages per service cycle
- Message and data rates may apply
- Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe
- Reply HELP for assistance
